Building Products at Prezi

Headless Prezi Editor to Prezi GPT & Prezi MCP

The challenge: Prezi wanted to make its editor available beyond the main application, to power new AI-powered integrations.
What I did: I built a standalone version of the editor from scratch and worked across product and engineering to make it usable for external integrations.
Impact: Enabled Prezi GPT, and became part of the foundation for Prezi MCP.

Technical details

Prezi's editor was built as one large, tightly-coupled product, so there was no way to power new integrations without shipping the whole application. I extracted and rebundled the editor's core into a standalone, embeddable version. That headless editor now powers Prezi GPT inside the ChatGPT GPT Store, and became the foundation for Prezi MCP, opening entirely new integration paths for the company.

Prezi's AI-Native Editor

The challenge: As AI assistants became central to how people create, Prezi needed to move from a traditional editor to an AI-native, agentic one, starting from scratch.
What I did: I built the company's agent infrastructure from the ground up, and now own external integrations, editing stability and the saving/versioning system for the new editor.
Impact: Laying the foundation for Prezi's next-generation product, built to let people create with AI as a true collaborator, not just a feature bolted on.

Working in a startup-style, high-autonomy setting, I built the agent infrastructure from the ground up, then moved into owning external integrations, editing stability and the saving/versioning system for the next-generation editor.
